Harry Reid On the Ropes in Nevada
June 24, 2010 | Leave a Comment
Majority Leader Harry Reid has the Republican opponent he had hoped for in Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle in Nevada, but still trails her by 11 points in the latest Rasmussen survey. Reid is already up on the air, slamming Angle for her views on Social Security and Medicare. Angle has responded thus far only [...]

Scott Brown on Leno
January 29, 2010 | 2 Comments
Scott Brown mania persists, with the Senator-elect doing a bit on the Jay Leno show. The Senator seems to have as much energy as he did in the campaign, making the rounds in Massachusetts and nationally, and really hitting the right political notes. He has energy for sure, and appears to be looking at re-elect [...]

Wednesday Morning Quarterbacking
January 21, 2010 | 3 Comments
Senator Scott Brown delivered an old fashioned electoral whipping to Martha Coakley yesterday, defeating her handily across Massachusetts and upsetting the national applecart for the Democratic Party. Scott Brown ran an energetic campaign, and used a great retail operation to create a “wholesale” message that really resonated.
The Coakley campaign, on the other hand, should [...]

November 30, 2009 | 4 Comments
Former Governor Michael Dukakis threw his support this weekend behind Congressman Michael Capuano in the Democratic primary for the United States Senate. Michael Dukakis still has a strong following in the Democratic Party, and I believe the Dukakis endorsement will help Capuano. It is the first time in twenty years that Governor Dukakis has endorsed [...]

September 24, 2009 | 5 Comments
It appears that Governor Patrick will announce this morning that he is naming Paul Kirk as the interim U.S. Senator. Kirk, a Kennedy family confidante, is the choice of the family, and if selected will show that the Kennedys still have plenty of clout in Massachusetts. Governor Patrick will bypass former Governor Michael Dukakis, [...]

Stephen Pagliuca Announces Senate Bid
September 18, 2009 | 1 Comment
Boston Celtic owner Stephen Pagliuca announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate, bringing a fortune estimated at $400 million into the race. He starts this race with a first rate team of consultants (including Doug Rubin), but no political experience. He will be up on the air today, already buying a big chunk of [...]
